Ok so here is the deal…with the current state the economy is in and the admitted failure of ethanol as an alternative fuel (by the government), how much longer do you think we will be enjoying the badassness of this fuel? Or at least at our local gas stations…discuss

I don’t really worry about it at all. When I started using e85, there were only a couple stations that had it. Now there is never a station too far away… I doubt it’s going away anytime soon, but only time will tell.
i just get a bit weary in todays economy bc of the intrest in taking away the govt subsidies for ethanol, if that is even passed. but either way, e85 will continue to increase in price and still increase the price of crops and have an outstanding affect in todays agricultural markets. either way, i need a solar car…but then the sun will die out when i build one lol
Local station for me is still @ $2.99/gal. Good shit.
Price has gone up less than gasoline in the past year, no worries, and if they stop selling it, I’ll make it myself

I’ll worry about it if/when the time comes, like everything else in life, I don’t worry about stuff that I have very little/no control over.
Doesn’t e85 get like 50% less mpg than regular? Just wondering Idk shit about it.
~30 percent@WOT, less difference cruising. A factory flexfuel vehicle will typically get like ~2mpg less on E85 vs. gas
I feel like Cobra Jeffy is rationalizing not spending money to change over to e85.
It’s not going anywhere. And even if the price goes up, it’s still cheaper than C16 @ $12/gal

not justifying anything. its been able to run on e85 for the past 2 years when i put in my fuel system. this doesnt have anything to do with me running it man. just trying to start an intelligent debate and listen to everybodies opinions. i was sick of reading threads that made my mind turn to mush. and to travis about making your own, i know of a few ppl that had a visit from the g men to tell them to stop the home production of e85. one guy was doing it for his own vehicles for almost 10 years! keep it hush hush broski. i wouldnt mind making it, i just wont tell anybody lmao!
Then run it. You’re missing out. But you also has big motor and can make respectable numbers with pump gas… unlike us tiny motors.
The government actually encourages it and will pay you to produce your own ethanol. Not sure where you heard this… obviously you need a permit to distill ethanol for ANY reason, but mixing pre-made ethanol with gasoline is far from illegal.
