Hmm I might have to think about running e-85 now that there’s a station on GI
I saw the construction but was ecstatic when I saw the e85 pump. Just sucks noco don’t offer 93…

I’ve been there once in the store with my gf’s car and didn’t even notice they had it lol. But yea the no 93 is disappointing
Apparently the Wilson Farms at 95 south transit road in Lockport no longer sells E85. Its now a 7-Eleven / Gulf and the E85 pump has been replaced with non ethanol 91 gasoline.

Yep. Made that mistake a few weeks ago.
They just remodeled Noco on abbott rd in lackawanna… Now have E85!
Has anybody been testing the actual ethanol content at the pump? Particularly interested in the Elma/Lancaster/EA/Depew area.
Id imagine at this time of the year its not the best quality/percentage of e85, probably has a winter blend as well right?
You running e85 now?
Nope, just weighing the pros and cons (again) for the toy. The guy who tunes my car got me thinking again, so I’m interested in the content and consistency of the summer blends.
I’m not sure why everyone gets so concerned about the content of it. I throw whatever is in the pump in my car and the tune is fine all year.
Does your car have an ethanol content sensor? Mine doesn’t, and I really don’t want to be careless with the engine I’m building. Then again I don’t know the ins and outs of the content fluctuation’s effects on detonation, etc.
Measured the fuel on GI, it was spot on E85. This was about 3-4 weeks ago.
walden and central was +90% back in mid september
walden and pavement was also +90% around the same time. havent bought any since.
but in may it was at least 85% when i tested it there also
The real lolz here is people debating small differences in E85 content which is far more resistant to detonation then pump gas not to mention all kinds of people run around using 93 out of the pump on boosted applications when the quality of that can change from station to station with a much smaller window of error.
If you’re that concerned you can get E85 race gas in 50 gallon drums just run E85 pump on the street and switch to E85 race for the track.
Its funny to me to since i have no intercooler
And you think your going to have issues if its E80 vs E85?
Nope. Ive read its very forgiving, and the fact that i dont have an intercooler, shows that if you do run an interooled setup, the tuning should be that much easier to make it last and have power.
No one with turbo buicks talk or worry about checking ethanol content, seems like people just pump it in and go.
Im sure it if your trying to get every last bit out of a setup, it might be important to check once and awhile.
