I got in touch with this eBayer and asked him if I could only buy front
rotors only and not the front and rear set as well as whether I could
pick the items up locally.
I am not aware of any other place that has it any cheaper or whatever,
so I am going to drop by hopefully this weekend if I can arrange a
meeting and buy a pair for the front.
Considering PDM has it at $208USD per pair, I am definitely going to
check these out in person before I buy.
Here’s his response:
Yes we can sell the front rotors only. US$115/pair, or C$139/pair, plus C$5 handling fee for pick up. Cash price only.
Our address is: 180 Nantucket Blvd., Unit 4 (East/South corner of Kenndy Road and Ellesmere).
Please schedule your pick up in 2 day advance, please also leave your phone number and name, so that we’ll notify you when all the items are ready and make an appointment with you about the picking up time.
Our phone # is: 905-927-9756, picking up hours are: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Friday; If that’s not convenient for you, please let me know what time is good for you and we’ll make a special appointment with you.
Hey isn’t that for the 300zx? Or is it possible that those can replace the stock 240sx brake rotors without changing the calipers? So bascially, can you just remove your old 240sx rotors and put these in and it will work fine?
i can get the exact same pieces for $125 per pair.
i have the same supplier as they do.
plus no handling fee from me.
but i need 5 or so people so as to make it worth my trip it’ll save everyone $24 per pair and the gas to get there. i can bring them to a meet or something
I don’t want to wait for 5 people because I know there won’t be 5 people in the next couple weeks.
I’m ordering my SS lines from PDM this week or early next, picking up
SS rears from Jantos, picking up the rotors from these guys if I can on the
weekend (or whenever they get em in) and that just leaves brake pads,
which I don’t know where to get (want Hawk HPS).
Please guys don’t buy the x-drilled brembo if you can avoid it. Buy the non x-drilled blanks or the slotted ones but NOT the x-drilled ones. Mine have developed hairline cracks at all the vent holes and this seems to happen on the x-drilled if they are driven hard. the slotted area’s on mine are fine though.
Bing can you get the blank (non slotted/x-drilled) ones? Or the ones that are just slotted?
So besides you who else has reported the problem? And why would
Brembo make such a shitty product?
This is authentic Brembo rotors right? Not just some knockoff blanks that
Brembo licensed and others drilled it? (Pardon this n00b question as I
am not aware of how rotor development goes).
I’m gonna look up on other boards to see who else has complained…
for track…brembo blanks are the way to go…x-drilled are not good for track…for street x drilled are fine…trust me…i have been abusing brembo products for 4 years…
I got these x drilled brembo rotors on my car. No extra pad wear, no cracks, and I’ve had them on for 1 year and it’s on my SRed S13 that gets a lot of heavy breaking
The shop sells Brembo Blanks for $10USD less ($105USD per pair).
I think I myself will pick up the blanks this Saturday, assuming he has
the items in stock.
If anyone wants to come or would like to purchase this Saturday as well
please let me know before 6pm today (Friday), because thats’ when I
am calling the shop.
