wow…ebay fucking blows…

what the fuck? how effing lame. The rest of the sales went fine… no problems with money being held or anything.

GREAT… now what? I’m scared to send it for fear of getting ripped off

+1

you really dont have a choice… you can hold it for 21 days and not send it out, and the worst you will have to do is return his $$ and get some negative feedback

or you can send it out and hope for the best… its up to you

Ebay will tell you that you ahve to send it no matter what

well… I guess it will be a learning experience if anything.

here’s to hoping I don’t get burned

oh, and after this I’m NEVER selling shit on ebay again. What a crock of shit

eBay is shitty enough for a seller, but paypal being a part of ebay is just insane… They try to make buyers feel ‘safe’ like theyre not getting screwed or anything, but it just makes the sellers scared. If i sell something, i want the money BEFORE I ship it, and i want it in a form that cant be randomly pulled back…

If the guy decides the item isnt EXACTLY what you said it is, its a huge PITA to get paypal on your side, and they sometimes pull the money from your account, even though you have no promise of getting the item back, and probably wont.

I made my account on ebay back in 00, and had ZERO problems until about 06, and now its just about 50% of the things i get or sell on ebay i have some sort of issue with. The people on ebay are mainly assholes, and paypal is HORRID. Some sellers wont accept it, and you shouldnt as well… But people dont like that.

have any of you guys tried yahoo auctions or another site you can recommend for future auctions?

Yahoo is terrible steve.

Every bidder is a nigerian scammer in my opinion.

Honestly bud, I’ve been on ebay for 10 years now.

I have never been scammed by anyone.

Had a couple chargebacks, but they were partially my fault.

How new of an account do you have that they are putting holds on it and shit?

I’ve never heard of that, they must have just started doing that.

Ebay is still the quickest way to unload bullshit that there is no market for on craigslist.

ok, so I decided to not send the item and let the buyer/scammer know (just in case they are legit).

they got sort of upset and “demanded” the money back. when I logged into paypal I noticed that there was a dispute opened on the transaction. I went into the dispute and issued a refund for the full amount (about 200.00).

now, under “recent transactions” it’s showing the refund as -$200.00 and also another transaction that shows “temporary hold” -$200.00

am I going to get charged twice for this? I wish they explained it a little bit better. Anyone been through this?

no, you will NOT be charged 2x for this…

Paypal is dumb how they list their transactions

+1. And if you want to do the extra leg work, get EBAY customer support involved. I’m sure they will re-list the item for free for you.

I’d be careful on that. Just make sure your refund clears and they don’t award him another refund through the actual dispute itself.

awesome, thanks man +karma

nappy, yeah but honestly with how much a PITA ebay has been lately, I don’t even want to bother. Great for buyers, shitty for sellers

edit: thanks for the heads up on that. I’ll will watch it closely.

You cant give a buyer negative feedback

This are make me rearry hangry.
