i thought i posted in here earliar, but i guess it didnt work?
DSMs get a bad rep from BAD owners, they are great, if you do any lil bit of maint. to them al all. Change the oil, change the timing belt and water pumo every 60k and you will be great. 1500 for a 98 gst is a steal, if the body is ok on it. I sold my 97 for 7000 with 150k on it and i neeeveer changed the oil and i beat this shit out of the trans and motor on it. I had a extra 6 bolt for it that i planned on swapping into it when the 7 bolt blew up but it never did. People forget that the gs/rs and the gst/gsx are TOTALLY different. I would love to get my hands on another dsm for cheap, a 1g gsx or tsi preffered though
Im in the same boat as you dj. But back to topic dont waste your time or money if you dont know what your getting into. A new head can only mean the cars had a rough life
Possibly it’s just the timing belt that missed but, I wouldn’t take a chance.
well i think im going to buy it its cheap and i will have money to play with …
Good luck when it starts puking its guts every where. Gonna cost you a pretty penny when your crank takes a walk :headbang
come on, its not THAT bad, its alot better compared to 5-6 years ago, dsm aftermarket prices have droped alot. Hows the body on the gst, and what color is it?
theyre not hard to find parts for and theyre not horridly expensive. theres always tons of forums for those cars, so it wont be too too hard to find info about stuff on it. post come pics of it
ive been working on holding myself off from posting 345972979234 pikchas per thread. but i really wanted to. especially the one with the DSM chassis sittin on top of a dumpster
