ecu problem... reset it and everything runs fine

i have had a problem the last two days… my car will suddenly just seemingly out of no where quit running. so yesterday i went over everything… no problems anywhere, unhooked the battery let it go for a minute, then hooked it up, everything was fixed. same today but all i did because it was pouring rain was unplug the ecu and plug everything back in. runs perfect again. anyone kno wwhy i would have a problem like this? its a chipped p28 that Joe tuned on crome… but im pretty sure its the ecu its self because when i had it in the car all stock with the d16z6 in it (turbo b18c now) as i recall i had the same problem, but i never knew how to fix it, i just let it sit a while (like 2 hours) and everything was fine again. Anyone have any ideas?

when does it happen. when the car sits int he sun for a while?

no not at all… what would that do anyways

Sometimes cars will not restart if they are hot, which can also occur if it sits in the sun all day or something…or if you’re blowdrying your weave on the hood…

A number of feul/electrical factors can cause it though.

yea its definately electrical, fuel is all fine. but every time i reset the ecu its fine again. i think i just need a new ecu socketed so i can put my chip in.
