*No-Start*

Auto 1995 S14 with 193k. Stock KA24DE

SYMPTONS:
While in park: as I turn the ignition, I get nothing…no dash lights no accessories. Only that annoying beep that tells me the key’s in the ignition

In reverse ONLY when I press the brake pedal: I get the dash lights to come on, headlights/signals work but not stereo/fan.

This happened one time before like two months ago…I unplugged the ECU/tried to put it in self-diagnose mode and left it…towed it home and when I hooked up the ECU back up the following morning, it started up no problem.

Since the problem recurred (this morning) I have disconnected and reconnected the ECU numerous times while putting it in self-diagnose mode…
I even hooked up the ECU for a manual KA but no change

Oh, and it’s not the battery/alternator/starter (did an avr last time it happened)

Anybody know this problem/have an guesses of what it might be?

sounds like a wiring issue to meeeee

Did you feed your Moguai after midnight ? Cuz you’ve got gremlins a plenty. I think I’ve got a printout of the complete interior harness around somewhere, I’ll see if any of those things have common elements. could be a bad ground.

It’s funny how it worked for like 2 months and then came back…anyways…I’m gonna go check the ignition and I’ll go from there

ignition possibly… but not likely def a loose connection , correded wires, ecu failure

anyhtign you did differently just before it happened ?

computers can be confusing. sometimes a computer will log a code internally and wait for a reoccurence, no MIL. it waits about 40-80 key cycles then forgets about it. just something to think about. do u drive the car alot?
