Edmunds HEAD TO HEAD the ZR1 & GT-R

x2, the vipers a track oriented car, only has 22 less horse, itd be better comp. for the zr1

but like newman said, anybody can just by a 40k version of the zr1 with an AUTO :frowning:

id take the gtr and not try to kill it lol theres not many on the road, and loooking at vettes far away from a stop light say or something like that, it wouldnt be hard but wouldnt be easy to tell the diff between a ZR1 and a base model from the side, the hood really separates them from the front

theres not a lot of vipers on the road either, they def. have a presence when theyre driving around and just look wAYYYYY more badass

plus, when its time to mod, 8.3L has way more potential than 6.2L…

Sure, It was made from 1998 to 2002. Around 64,000 made those 5 years. Not exactly 56 years worth & well over 1,000,000 + cars but I get your point.

Oh my god you DON’T know about the Skyline.

Poor poor man. Go wikipedia ‘Nissan Skyline’ and read about how well its done since the 60’s.

I actually like the wheels on the ZR1. To each his own…

#1 The base Vette has a LS3 now, which is still not too bad.
#2 Z06 has a LS7, has a lil different looks, and better handling or whatever, has fender flare type things and a hood. looks a lil different but performance is where the $$$ went either way…
#3 ZR1 LS9 =V8Supercharged, and i would take it over a viper…vipers r nice though but I like the sound of a V8 not as raspy as a V10, oh well its still a vette and if ur young and can fit in the car, im sure u can pull some ho’s for cheaper with a Base C6. still fun and good gas mileage which that V10 will never touch.

12 mpg city/22 mpg highway.

14 mpg city/20 mpg highway.

Your second reason there…I agree that the money went towards performance. The rest…I don’t know what your getting at haha. Differences from other corvettes?

Eh…I haven’t spent the required time around corvettes to be able to pick out details among the years, but I can definitely guess to within 3 or 4 years. At least it’s not as difficult as Porsche is, god, all their ‘new’ cars look exactly the same.

are people really comparing the GTR and ZR1? I think they are just way too different.
