I don’t think there was a base V8 for a CTS.
I know of 3 engines:
3.2 V6 220 hp
3.6 V6 255 hp
2.8 V6 210 hp
The only V8’s that I know of in the CTS-V:
LS6 5.7 V8 in 04’ - 05’
LS2 6.0 V8 in 06’ -
