Car looks damn good.
but does it wheelie…
thanks guys
i dont know if the wheelie thing was a joke or not, but i could change the shocks and suspension angles around in 2 seconds and make this thing flip end over end if i wanted, but it wouldn’t make it faster
update on the car:
windshield is out, and i’m flatbedding it over to get the 10pt from jason vitez on thursday. the additional points will be chromoly. i wish i did the original section in moly, but oh well. pat over at elma automotive swapped my axle bearings because he is sweet, and now the rear end is buttoned up. turbo should be here this week, and the cage is only “supposed” to take about 1-2weeks max to be completed. (he claims it will only be one day’s work, and he works three 16hr days every week)
other than that, i’ve been working a lot, so not much to show in terms of progress. as soon as the car comes back, the engine/trans will be in that week. i want to jam this thing together real quick so i can have a little time to get the detail work done. all these little things i need (want) to purchase to make the car right/finished/complete are killing me with what i budgeted for this “build”. A hundred bucks here, a hundred bucks there; while alone the purchases seem like NBD, those hundreds rack up QUICK. but i guess that what makes the difference between a rushed/hacked car and a finished car. i wasn’t to happy with the way i (didn’t) finish that car last year, and it wasn’t very enjoyable to drive
:highfive:
ugh. and the sad thing is, the main thing that made the car unenjoyable was just a lack of exhaust and a headliner. then little bullshit like the carpet not fitting perfectly.
some builds and lack of workmanship or effort that i see people do just makes me ask why people waste their time/money
turbo is back from it’s rebuild, unfortunately i need to take it apart to CLEAN it. looks like they rebuilt it in a pile of oil and dirt. anybody want to polish my compressor housing?
car FINALLLLLLLLYYYYY goes over for the cage today. sdiuufhasidujbfnasd
I got the car back from Jason Vitez after work on Friday, who added to my cage. as always, VERY impressed with the work, he is probably the best fabricator i know. running the front pipes through the dash is no easy task. Friday night I got the engine in with the help of jt76, along with biged. Big thanks to them. Today i started on the (praise the lord) 4" exhaust, THANK GOD TO MY EARS. when i get the th400 last year, i made a quick dumped 4" exhaust that was very irritating, and also made a mess of the bottom of my car. for this year, i’m making a full 4" exhaust with a straight through magnaflow muffler, dumped (hidden outlet) out the back of the car. i got a decent chunk of that done, but was getting frustrated/bored and had to walk away from it. i started tackling some of the 2308192 odds and ends on my car. the interior is a disaster right now, i’m not even going to get into that yet. there are a lot of things “off” in these pictures; i know this, i have probably a month until the car is road worthy.

are your door panels going to be tan or black? some pics theyre tan and others are black lol
ughh, i know exactly how u feel. ive spent the last 2-3weeks just doing odds and ends and to be completely honest alot of the stuff im doing now i already know ill have to redo and spend more time on later.
Looks great
I remember a few years ago…
Auto NEVER!
Cage NEVER!
he said that in the beginning of summer too lol “there’s no way im going auto! , or cage… this is a street car, track times are meh!” lolz
Thanks for the props!
I went auto because I was getting sick of replacing $1500 clutches and fixing t56’s. Having a m6 and a lot of power is very costly. That is the main reason I went auto. Then after that was put in, I rediscovered how fun the track is. Not to mention I don’t like screwing around in the streets anymore. Either way, I’m going to have a quiet (hopefully 8 second) car with a subwoofer that I’m going to drive to work in the summer. Whatevs
how tall is that lift/what’s price
Car looks dope as always. Love it
cage looks good.
Looking good dude.
Thanks guys.
The doors are two tone, black/tan. The lift is 9’3" and the ceiling is 10’. We can actually max out the lift with our fbodies, so it worked great. The lift was $1600 shipped 4 years ago
Motor the same as last year?
Car looks good.
Are you still using reversed truck headers?
