Elise short throw shifter i designed (stole) and prototyped...

Basically stole the design from TRD, but the dude i designed it for is going to sell them. He gave me 250 bucks for my effort.

Not bad for 2 hours work on the bridgeport… Obviously CNCing this would produce a cleaner look… I just need to press in a 5/16 pin and i’m all set…

So when he gets sued you won’t have to worry about it, right?

Def not. So much in the engineering world is done like that. It’s not even for an existing TRD application…

cool, post pics of it installed, its confusing to honda guys

Why did you not try to sell them yourself?

it wasn’t my idea, i would have never thought of it, so i give credit where credit is due.

that and everyone on the elise boards hates me.

↑ Haha, well $250 is $250.

shoulda just gave the kid 250 and started mass producing them. lol.

i have no idea why

nice design tho.

lets be honest, how many elise owners are there in the world looking for short throw shifters, that are gonna buy from newman after all that hes said about lotus owners and their cars. :squint:

word. they are a bunch of fggts.

Does not matter, throw them on ebay and profit.

Well done sir.

wow nice

How about I make give you dimensions for a 91 beretta shifter and you “create” me one. I have looked and looked even on bstuff and nothing. just asking.

if he wants them CNC’s i can arrange it.

That would be a one off piece because the 91 Beretta market is a little slow these days…

Nice design. Total time including machine work, complete in 2 hours?

:grouphug:

what are we…?

mazdamemories… there is no love for beretta’s here

haha.

Good job.

Impressive work for you to take only 2 hours to make manually. Really. Nice job.

OT - Anyone know a place I can get a used Bridgeport? I have always wanted my own.
