EMDA Show

V8less is looking for cars for the EMDA show Feb 3-6. I think this could be a great opportunity for some NECC promo if we get one of our cars in there. Anyone interested? There is a thread on 780tuners about it.

I’d like to but I have no font end on my car, engine wise and hood, lights, bumper… LOL

I’d like to…but the only most I have installed so far is a cold air intake. Yeah, I can claim tunerage!

Yeah, it’s always tough to make it out to those car shows with your car, cause the majority of the people have their car parked or are having work done on the thing.

Who is going to just walk around?

im going to walk around

I’m going to walkaround and take some photos.

As am I.

Make sure you bring a tripod Dave, unless you want to go for that blurry yet blurry look.

im going to walk around and take pics as well

I’ll be there on the 6th.

You pulled your engine this winter?

Not completly… I should have said the turbo, rad, fan, intake and some other stuff to make room for some other bigger parts I got  Other than that the suspension soon is going to be in pieces for the prothane bushings and the front bumper supports are off for the 87 bumper headlights and hood.

Sweet!

What are the differences between the headlights & hood that you had vs. what you’re switching to? (I’m not too knowledgeable about Z31s).

Humm basically the 84 to 86 came with a “boxier” front bumper with a license plate holder and a headlight/foglight housing assembly. The 87 to 89 came with a “rounder” front bumper with a shaved license plate holder and a single pod headlight and fog lights below. Also the newer style front fits my fmic directly oppose to the 84 front end which lets face it looks bad with the FX bumper and I’d have to cut the bumper like Aaron did before he got his body kit. Here’s a pic of an 86

basically in the end I want it to look similar to this minus the rims and hood scoop. This is a 87 front end.

My rims, front and rear spoiler, stereo are all going up for sale in spring. Going with a whole new looks this year  Anyways sorry for hijacking the thread

Was it EMDA or V8less nights that had the “exotics” crew. The middle-aged guys that sit in the middle of all their cars in leather “Lamborghini” / “Ferrari” jackets and hats, and bathe in a big collective superiority complex. The Gemballa Porsche guy was nice, but the other two (My girlfriend named them “Miami”, and “Vice”) had boners from all the attention.

I’ll probably go on Saturday or Sunday.

That would have been the V8less show.

No, actually that was the EMDA. The owner of all those exotics was from ZR Auto in Calgary. From what I heard, the people he had working were basically just piece work workers that had nothing to do with his company but he was using as cheap security. Not many of them knew anything about the car and it showed when you talked to them.

Matt

P.S. I wanted to punch that owner of ZR Auto in the face. He flipped out on me when I was taking photos of his F355, told me I was getting too close (I was still well outside the stanchions). So I told him, “Oh, so you don’t want any reference to your companyor cars in the paper or possibly some car magazines?” He started to back pedal pretty quick. This guy would kidnap his own child for the oppurtunity to put his company name on the milk cartons.

Shit the show is in febuary, i am so there i will try and get my buddy with the rb26 silvia to come up as well!

its so hard for me to go lol gotta take the bus and all ahahahah :w00t:
