Empire State College

Has anyone attended or has any info on this college? Im trying to go back to school and a friend told me about them, but im not sure yet i guess its a SUNY accredited school but you can take all your courses online. I want to know if this is worth it or would i be better off just going to E.C.C. to get reacclimated. I saw that they even offer master degrees but like i said i dont wanna just waste my time if it ends up being another one of those scam online/mail order degrees that arent really worth the paper ther are printed on.

Do more research it is a fucking SUNY school obv it is not some type of scam. I have a degree from there and it is not easy. I am going to be more then happy to go to regular classes at UB starting in January. That being said go there if you have to like if you work 40+ hours a week and or have to travel a bunch for your job. Also we have a few threads on the school already.

thanks ive been doing some research and figured id get some personal imput from people. I have heard its more difficult then ECC which i like, and being able to take classes online caught my attention i wasnt 100% on if it was a SUNY school and if credits would be fully transferable.

Yeah UB already confirmed that I will be able to transitions to an MBA program there next year. I went to in class school for two years then finished with Empire. I learned more doing online schooling to be honest due to the amount you had to be in the books to grasp the concepts. However when i was in reg school I was much less disciplined so who knows. I did enjoy Empires flexibility due to the fact I both travel for my job and work 50+hrs a week.

I’ll introduce you to my friend if you’d like,

Maybe she’ll put on her glasses for you if you ask nicely,

lol what the efff

so you think it would be better to get some credits and transfer to someplace like ub then go for one of their MBA programs? i feel like online would be better for me not just because of flexability but i find myself more interested that way, and feel like you have more opprotunity to learn. I mean with a book you have the info in the book to get you through the class but i just feel like if i had questions about something and i was online id find myself on google looking for more information, where if i was in a class id forget or be to lazy to look further into it later.

Well that is up to you. Maybe sign up take a few classes and see what you think. I am going back to regular school for a few reasons but when you start taking hard classes it gets really annoying trying to work through it all via e-mail and such. So for easier/undergrad classes I think it is great. But I want the resources that a larger in class school can offer me for the rest of my education.

I would say goto ECC to get back into things, but that’s just me
