Any reputable online schools?

So, I’m at a bit of a dilemma in my life.

I work for a large corporate bank, who will pay 5 grand a year for me to go to school of any kind for undergraduate.

When I was 18, I was young and stupid and went to ITT Tech. I picked up my Associates in a computer field, and that degree is pretty much worthless.

I want to go back to school for Finance, but I’m having two issues. I work full time, and I know going to class after work is going to be a pain in the ass.

Number two would be that I can’t see myself living in the buffalo area very much longer. Way too much opportunity with the bank elsewhere…

Are there any REAL colleges that have online programs. I have no interest in getting another bullshit degree from a University of Phoenix online, or ITT Tech, or something like that.

Discuss…

Penn state has a good online MBA program

Ya most schools even UB have online programs you can take that give you a degree from a real school but you can take your classes online.

Don’t go to like the University at Phoenix or something.

They let in 60 students every fall, something tells me that an ITT education is not going to get you in there, just saying

It’s not strictly online, but UB offers many of its classes as online versions (i can speak for the School of Management specifically-ie.Finance). You could take a few classes per semester and some of your ITT credits MIGHT transfer. You could probably finish off your undergrad in a couple of years without too heavy of a workload. A Finance degree from UB will actually be worth something and you should be able to keep your yearly costs below $5000 if you’re less than full-time.

I suggest actually going to UB to talk to them about this. See if anything transfers or if you can take some online classes through another University that would transfer before you sign up at UB. Then look at the options for timing.

Im not speaking of its accreditation’s, but my second uncle went in on a partnership with a a few MD’s out in California on a private practice with nothing more than an associates degree in business. The doctors pressured him into going back and getting a Bachelors and they continuously recommended The University at Phoenix Online. Again, Idk if that means anything but I just figure if they insisted on having him be the “expert” on the managerial things within the firm, they maybe wanted him to get decent schooling…

no to Phoenix.

Another very large distance learning facility is University of Maryland.
They also have a physical presence which makes it , i think slightly more legit, and doesn’t have that stank of Phoenix.

At the end of the day don’t expect much from distance learning. You are doing it for paper. You won’t believe the dipshits that take the classes…I know, because I tried them both several years ago.
Also, you have to think about the weight of the school itself on your resume. So if I was hiring and I saw you received a degree from U of P…I’d toss it. Seriously.

If you can at all, take night or weekend classes at a decent school instead.

meh, i’m taking 4 online ecc classes, they are pretty straight forward…just a lot of work.
FYI

Tompkins Cortland Community College. One of the first in the SUNY system to offer associates that are online only.

What happens is the woman is giving the man oral sex and the man will ask “Who’s The Boss?” If the woman says “You Are” the man will forcefully slap her across the face with his wang and say “Wrong, Bitch! Tony Danza’s the boss!”
