Nice for a subaru…j/k. e85 is pretty nice, I don’t think it will become too main stream but it works wonders for the turbo cars. Are you running meth and e85 or straight e85. Any underhood pics?
Gary I’m spraying 50/50 water/meth with the Coolingmist setup I had in my Legacy and I’m running E85 in the tank for fuel. I may not continue that much longer since it’s such a pain to get E85.
There’s no being sneaky since I’ve posted what’s under the hood but there won’t be any pics for a while since it’s a work in progress. We haven’t loomed some wires since we’re still changing things and adding switches etc., plus we didn’t try to make it pretty, just functional.
haha. I heard “bring it” said I was the 1st LS1 to beat him. His shit was pretty fast.
With more seat time your car is gona be flyin’, its nice seeing people out testing there parts.
i’d love to run e85. since that doesn’t look to be too promising for the future, maybe its time for some meth. you probably posted this, but how much was the e85/gallon?

It seems to be functional so far. I just wanted to see what the swap looks like in that model and how the turbo setup looks with the different engine bay. I’ll wait to see it in person.

It looks almost exactly like an STi engine bay except there’s nothing in front of the passenger strut tower where the boost solenoid would be and I have a WRX cable throttle body instead of DBW. There’s a lot less stuff under the intake manifold since we removed the BS and we gutted the TGV’s so they don’t have the motors and sensors hanging off them. We had to change the downpipe slightly because the firewall is just slightly closer to the engine and the intake because we didn’t want to cut a hole in the fender for it until the front mount was in and we knew where everything would be.

I need a better source of E85 so I don’t constantly worry about how much fuel I’m using. In fact I think I’m going back to gas until it’s easier to get E85.

what type of tires are you running? your 60’ is moving right along.

That was the second time I ever launched the car and I left the tires at the 40 psi I drive around with on the street so I know I can do better. They’re 245/45r16 Hankook Ventus RS 2 street tires. I’ve been told they’re good wet/dry autoX tires so I figured I’d give them a shot.
I cut 1.63 in my old stock turbo WRX on garbage 225 wide kumhos. The WRX has an open front diff and viscous center. Now I have better and wider tires, more power, the STi center diff I control (which I lock at WOT), and the STi tranny has LSD front diff so I hope to cut a 1.5X in this thing at some point.

Yeah quit making things so hard on yourself. I know you like a challenge and all but who cares about E85. Lets see what that can do with a intercooler, pump gas, and a meth kit. This is what everyone wants to see. Or maybe its just me
