Ya thats why im sticking with my $100 firestone winterforces on 17" rims. I just bought a new set of wider wheels and tires for the summer and priced out 19" blizzak snow tires for my stockers and decided there’s no way im dropping $1300 a year on snow tires…
I have had a lot of different snows over the years, and I would take firestones over blizzaks, I think they perform better and last longer. Blizzaks are quieters.
Best winter tire is the Hercules Avalance Xtreme. I’ve been running these for years with great success. They aren’t as cheap as Winterforces’, but they are a fuck of a lot cheaper than Blizzaks. I’ve run Blizzaks in the past (ws50’s ws80’s whatever the fuck they are), and honestly was not impressed with them.
I’m sure as shit not going to spend double the money for a more silent tire. Snow tires are loud, plain and simple. Turn the fucking radio up.
