He ran it at the valley in its current state? :ahh
errvvvgottiiiii
oh man, did he let off at the eighth?
nope musta had alot of oversteer out of the whole. Needs big meats out back.
He looked like he was driving it decently but its just dumpy.
Should be a decent race for the Express van!
bump… nice run, ern
Actuallym the 14.2 was a bogged launch. I ended up hitting 13.46 @102.66mph. With traction control on. oops lol It kicked in twice but it was a damn good run. A tune should be able to tagme a couple more tenths. The older evos were lining up and banging off redline. I revved to 3500 and feather-popped it like you guys taught me and it seemed to work. There were to Evo X MR’s and a Ralliart (all automatics) and the fastest was an MR that hit 13.6XX.
As for the “staggering” I understand that as long as the overall diameter of the tire is the same at all four corners, I could run 6" in the front and 12" in the rear I’ve just found that rolling is necessary for larger than 9.5" wide rims and tires are expensive enough at the 245/40R18 size…
wow lol this car is soooooo slow
^They are, especially with a curb weight of 3500 lbs and the traction control on. A tune and practicing how to launch will help a bunch.
Doesnt that thing have a launch controll function in the ecu?
Just keep driving it as it is and get better at knowing your car. Many great drivers in slow cars are faster than poor drivers in fast cars.
Also for tires… I have a set of Conti 245/40/18’s with about 400 miles on them. take offs from a buddys car I can sell to ya for $500… they are $220 a piece tires too.
Sell them to me for $100 instead.
:lol and you didnt get walked by a Grand Prix? :haha
thinking the same thing… my civic NA would have walked out on this thing from a roll or a dig.
i ran a better time than him when i just had a reflash, and far less power than his car
It wasn’t rev limiter, it’s the two step.
In my box stock Evo I went 12.98…
I ran a better time in my bone stock sti as well. 13.1
I will get better. The car only does 13.6 in stock trim anyways. The Evo VIII and IX are a few tenths quicker cuz they are significantly lighter. My extra 16 crank horse dont account for much.
As for launch control, only the SS-t transmissions (autos) have that. The 5-speeds do not.
