I like my b16 I don’t know why people hate on that motor. its no where near fast but I have fun with it
gsr motor with gsr trans and lsd, jackson racign supercharger, makes a crx with nice suspension soooooo much fun to drive.
Im not saying that I wouldnt have fun with something like that. Im just saying that I have fun with what I have now. Down the road Im sure I will build a motor for this car, but it will be N/A
I drove lamone’s CRX today and it was fun as hell. But I just dont have the money for a K unfortunatly.
Here are some pictures of some of the sandblasted/painted parts. They arn’t perfect. i just wanted to get the surface rust off of them and to make them look a little better. The little things like the brake caliper brackets and such i did at school, and the big things like the crossmember and the sway bars were done at my dads work because the sandblaster at school sucks and it would have taken me hours to do the crossmember.
Not all of the parts that i did are in this picture because some of them went back on the car. The trailing arms are stripped down to just the actual arm, so those will be next on the list to do.
Sorry for the shitty cell phone pictures. For some reason the camera takes awsome pictures when the flash is not needed but when it uses the flash they come out shitty.

edit: if you have all the suspension pieces out your should buy a prothane bushing kit n do em all if you have the resources to do so at school, they make the car feel so much more better than stock

I didn’t prep it at all lol and it holds up great I used the same stuff on my front wheel well when I did my swap last winter and it seemed to work great. When you use the can shit, don’t used the bottom of the can. Because when the pressure gets low it kinda gets thick as your putting it on and I noticed that where I put it on thick last year, rocks stuck to it LOL
I’m going to try and do the Bushing kit if I can. I’m not in the suspension class anymore so they get pissed when I do shit that dosent relate to the class. I will try though.
So today I started working on the wiring for my car. I want to get this done before I paint the car because I want to be able to just throw it in when the car is all in paint. I layed out the right hand drive harness on the floor in my basement and I’m going to start “de-looming” the harness and take out everything I’m not going to use. I also took out the dash harness and put in the right hand drive harness in my dash. Everything reaches perfect except for the cluster plugs and the defrost button because they are on the opposite side that they need to be, so they will need to be extended. I also took the cluster I got apart and cleaned it because it was super dusty.

I also got my rear camber kit from swerve and put that on the car. I need to sandblast the trailing arms and repaint them before those go back on.
I have a lot of hours of wiring ahead of me so I will try to update as much as I can as I’m doing it.

Lol, I don’t have the balls like some people to drill out hundreds of spot welds from both my car and a front clip to swap firewall and respot weld the new one back in. I would have liked to do it because the wiring would have been that much more easy but its just not going to happen.
Today I flipped the wiring harness upside down and put it in my car. Since the retards over in Japan decided to just cut the rear harness in half while they were cutting the car in half, I am going to have to make the section from the back that was originally in my car work. There is an extra 2 or three wires that go to the back of the car on the right hand drive harness so the clip is different. I’m just going to flip the plugs from one harness to the other.
I was surprised that almost all of the original stuff in my car (ignition switch, directional, headlights, and wipers) on the steering column were the exact same plugs. All except for one wire being in a different spot on one of the plugs. So hopefully this process won’t take much longer. I will be putting a battery in the car and make sure everything works before I take the harness back out.

I received my new gas tank today. Also worked on more wiring. Such a pain in the Ass. Since I have a rywire engine harness for my car and the harness goes right to the ecu, the plugs on the chassis harness that go to the ecu are useless. Except for 7 wires that still need to he used, like for the fuel pump. Also I’m going to buy primer soon so I can put the whole car in primer before it starts to snow. If I have the time I am going to try and spray white on at least the engine bay and the interior so I can get that back together, along with the steering rack and front suspension
Your already half way to a RHD swap you should have just done it.
