Ever hear this about MPG?

i dont think so, proper maintenance will be done for the 12s slip

there are stock T5s in the 11s, and Tremecs breaking in the 13s

In my cavvy I have always got between 30-33 mpg on every tank of “normal” driving

I have gotten 37-38 on some highway only trips

This is consistently above epa estimates. I don’t drive fast or slow. I pretty much keep normal pace with traffic.

I didn’t notice the mileage changing much at all with break in. But I can tell you that 20-21 in a neon is pretty pathetic. I could get 17-18 with my v6 toyota tacoma before I lifted it.

I got about 25 or so in the '04 rental i had for a few weeks when my last one was totaled.

If you really want to get good mileage out of it, get on the turnpike, set the cruise at 70, and take about a 3 hour trip. I got 36mpg out of the rental neon doing 70 or so from Monroeville out to Sandusky.

I quite honestly don’t know how you guys don’t hit the EPA rating for highway if you’re headed somewhere long distance, unless of course you’re going 85 or something.

Vehicle: 2006 Dodge Charger R/T

Just a shade over 100 gallons for 2230 miles out to Las Vegas.
Just a hair under 90 gallons for 2230 miles coming back from Vegas.

Note: The Charger’s Hemi v8 has some new-fangled multi-displacement technology. When cruise control is on and it needs only small throttle changes once up to speed, it shuts off some fuel and spark to up the mileage.

From Tucumcari NM to Amarillo TX it actually pulled down 28 MPG. Not to shabby.

It’s EPA rated at 17/25 or some such numbers, IIRC.

Daily driven it’s only succeeding in pulling down 15 MPG because I can’t use the cruise control…people darting in and out of traffic and PA’s notoriously short on-ramps causing people to think three car lengths is sufficient space to squeeze in when they’re 20 MPH below the traffic speed is not cruise friendly.

also they change the fuel mix in the winter so cars get worse gas milage almost always in the winter. my neon was down to 18 but it ran pig rich when it was cold and i only drove it 2 miles to work so that was always. got to love not filling up for over a month.
