40r is classified as a small frame turbo, the 42 is classified as a large frame. There is a BIG external size difference

40r is classified as a large frame turbo as well as the 37r, the 35r is the end of the medium frame turbo range. The 37r should be a medium frame but we do classify it as a large frame
