So I know how to freeze panes, but all I need is to freeze off a section (it contains a macroed button I need for the rest of the sheet). Is there anyway to freeze just a specific section, column A and row 12 and up.
thanks

Do you want to make it a data entry type form?
If so, in cell format, any cell you want to be able to edit under “security” uncheck lock.
then go to tools>protection>protect sheet
I actually need the rest of the sheet to be edited, but to keep this small section in place so at any given time in the worksheet I am able to use my sort macro.
Heres my next issue. I want to have a comment sections in this sheet, but I want to be able to limit how far the comment goes so It will break and go on to another line if its too long (making it easy for copy paste into a word doc or email and look like a normal sentence). Is it possible to limit the text and break to go onto another line?
just assign the macro to a key sequence and not to a button.
The people using this file may be pretty computer illiterate, hence trying to make it simple with buttons to do the work for them. I also have text that I use for a drop down menu and it would be nice if I could keep that in a locked location as well. I may just have to use the key bind
Can you just move your controls into a “task bar” at the top of the sheet, and lock it there using VBA?
Also a possiblity, but imagine this is being sent out and used by a bunch of 55+ year old women. If I could make this huge “SORT” button, It would be awesome and all I need is to lock it off in the corner
fuck it, I just changed the format of the page and move it all at the top where I froze those panes, thanks anyway.
Ok I lied. After its all said n done I dont like the way it looks when sent via email. Is there anyway I can have a space or row put in between each line anwyay?
I work with a bunch of 55+yr old women. There is no finish line. Ever.
