Exedy or ACT? Which clutch is better?

Hello All,

Just inquiring. Don’t know anything about the two different brands of clutches. But I am contemplating whether to get an Exedy Stage 2 Clutch or an ACT Stage 2 Clutch. Both of which are in the same price range.

Can anyone post here that have used either of the two, or have experienced both different clutches?

From what I hear Exedy is good, but I would just like to make sure.

Also, as per http://www.zilvia.net/ there is an Exedy Clutch Kit special with shipping, and its not so bad either. I was quoted $400 shipped for an Exedy Stage 2 Clutch Kit. And, I was quoted $450 for an ACT Stage 2 Clutch Kit. Just would like to make sure.

your not going to be comparing them side by side anyways.

i’d say go with exedy. just because i have one too, lol.

Sweet! You’re running a Stage 1 too, and you’ve got SR. So that must be pretty damn good.

Yeah, everyone on Zilvia are recommending Exedy, and saying that ACT is junk.

I guess, i’ll just go with Exedy then. Heheh.

Yea Exedy is really good, though ACT is not juck, i had the same prob, i found out for B13’s ACT is the best and that clutchmasters is junk, but thats only for the car i guess, because i like clutchmaters, nice on other cars.

But yea go with exedy…very nice for S-cars.
