exhaust issue

hey guys. my stock exhaust (cat to back was replaced last fall with oem) seems to make noises, first it was retarded rattle which of course were the cat gaskets, i replaced those and put in new bolts, sound quieted down but not for long, i put in the magnaflo hi-flo cat converter about a month ago, and now it seems as if my muffler is rusted out inside, i get honda noises from it, rattling, and fuzzing, could it be that the insides of my resonator and/or muffler got burned out since my cat let through alot of pressure and everything (all the layers) inside got burned out ? just like an old piece of crap exhaust ? let me know, and please keep away from ‘buy my exhaust’ comments lol, dont hate stock  let me know, thanks.

Easiest way to check is to shake your exhaust when the car isn’t running and see if you can make it make the rattling sound.

If the stock stuff rusted out, especially the old cat, I’d be willing to bet your exaust is just full of crap. With the stock style exhaust (I know you said don’t hate … but the stock is sooooo … ) it is not straight through, so anything that ends up in the pipe will stay there. If you had a straight through exhaust it would just spit the stuff out.

It could also be your muffler’s baffling collapsing from the inside out, or even the muffler peeling apart.

Or it could be a broken hanger. I know my buddy’s S13’s exhaust would rattle only at a specific RPM. That was a broken hanger.

Likely though, your stock one is just collecting little pieces of rust.

I know when I cut my stock exhaust off, I collected a nice little rust pile wherever I cut into it.

thanks bro, it makes a little bit of noise when i shake it, not too much, my hangers are fine but its tiestrapped by the tip to the towhook cause i ripped the frame hangers off the frame at track, its only been a year on this exhaust and i have a new cat so i donno :S
