Okay two things here
i was bored so after installing my header so me and a friend tried to tackle the rest of the exhaust system, installing my high flow cat, and cherry bomb resonator…and appparently we cannot weld very well…the resut…well my exhaust is about as solid as swiss cheese and it sounds like a helicopter. its leaking in at least 4 places, very small leaks but you can tell they are there.
its going in to get done properly soon, the first attempt was a learning experience and it was also free. SO heres the deal
-
will a leaky exhaust negatively affect performance badly enough to notice…like when i get it done PROPERLY and not leaking will it go better
-
the EGR could not be saved so i plugged it on the header, the outlet part that is but as of right now the pipe going into the intake is open to the atmosphere…and around 3500rpm (where the EGR opens apparently) i get this nasty Bog happening, as (i think) the pressure is screwed up from the EGR opening the intake manifold to the atmosphere.
does this make sense? If I plug that tube should it help too
im sick of trying to figure out all the tubes and valves and wires and gizmos…
