Does anybody know what size the bolt on the stock cat is, just need to know so i can get the bolts b4 putting on the new exhaust.
So instead of crawling under your car and checking you will as a question on the internet?
people are too lazy these days.
they should be 14mm IIRC
It kinda hard to tell what size they are when there is nothing but rust.
Thanks tho, much appreciated.
14mm? I doubt it.
A bolt isn’t measured by the size of the socket you need, it’s measured by shank size (diameter of threaded portion). That, along with length and thread pitch.
Just crawl under and check for yourself.

when people ask what size a bolt is, do you tell them the thread pitch?
no you say it is a 10 or an 8 etc.
In this situation he is asking what size the bolt is in order to remove them from the cat. What does the pitch and length of the bolt have to do with that?
:bj:
Try reading his post again.
He’s not asking for the head size, he’s asking for which fastener to buy in order to replace the existing ones.
Try going into a hardware store and asking for “a 10 bolt”.
I agree that pitch wouldn’t matter much in this case, as you’re sandwiching the two flanges together with a nut. Yet the shank length and thread diameter DO matter.
:bj: yourself.
