The Skyline is a fanboy car because of 2Fast2Furious, which made it look like God’s gift. The GS-R is not a fanboy car, the Type-R is.
theyre nice cars. its just people like that kind. easy to mod, stable platform, you can do a buttload to em. kinda like DSMs, super popular.

I dunno about the cult thing. I think some kids just think that having Vtec means thats its crazy fast or something, which is not the case at all.
I wouldn’t say that 2Fast2Furious was the reason people like Skyline’s so much.
Word got out about them loooong ago. Maybe it’s just be, since I’ve been a fan of the car before almost anyone I know, before FandF1, Gran Turismo 3, etc…
