no one mentioned the ITR Recaro’s stock… my fav part
The Skylline is like the holy Grail of imports because its a whole model line that has never made it to the US. I cant think of any other performace Japanese import that wasnt marketed in the US in some form. When I was out in California you would actually see a Skyline from time to time but on the east coast this is virtually unheard of with the exception of probably Florida.
Integra Type R is similar to this because of its short production run and numbers in the US. It is also one of the highest performing FWD Hondas built until introduction of the K series. Just about anything from a type R is unique and rare due to their small numbers and therefore worth its weight in gold to Honda and Integra entusiasts.
Toyota Supras were popular well before F&F came out. My cousin lives in Florida and a few times a year we would go visit family down there. In 96-97 the early MK4 models were getting used and cheap compared to other cars of similar performance. The Supra’s initial response to mods made it more powerful than most of the over priced competition.
the jdm ones, yes.
but the stock USDM seats were not so recaro-ish
But they do have the sexy red stitching on everything
Rare=Demand(fanboys+money)
I wouldn’t say they are rare persay. an NSX is 10x more rarer than a type R.
most 18 year olds can’t afford an nsx though
NSX will not share sooo many parts with other popular Hondas so they are not as popular with general Honda enthusiast… as I see it.
I had an instructor in tech school that had a right hand drive NSX
Don’t clean examples of DC2 ITR’s go for low 20s/high teens still?
I don’t know many 18 year olds that could afford that either…
18 year olds can get that financed though… whereas they couldn’t finance an NSX.
some people pay absurd amounts for used cars with really high interest rates when they could have gotten a new car for cheaper. :haha
I see alot of the opposite, people buying new cars and getting them repoed because they couldnt afford them where as they could have gotten a cheaper used car that they could have afforded no problem.
buying a car you can’t afford is one thing, overpaying for a used car and having a used car payment far greater than that of a new car payment is tons worse, IMO
some people are paying 500+/month for their used car. Insanity.
thats what I’m talking about.
i love my recaro’s, hell yes. ;D
Wow, a shit ton of mis-information in this thread. :confused
point it out so we can all learn something
