considering buying a 2004 honda civic lx black coupe but the car needs some minor bodywork and could use a re spray. What am I looking at generally for a quick black re paint.
Id do all the work to get it sanded down and got it prepped for paint. Quality isnt a huge issue for me i am by no means a perfectionist. I just would like it to look better than it currently does.
As opposed to an interior re-spray?
depends what you wanna do. a shop isn’t really going to use cheap stuff to help you out as it’s usually more of a pain in the ass using cheap supplies. You could get a cheapie Maaco or earl shrieb job for probably $500-600 but you even have to do all of the masking and removing of trims/lights/etc to get it that cheap.
only other option is maybe contact zion or however you spell it and see if he can help you out with a budget spray job.
Yes!.. i meant like no engine bay or door jams. I got quoted for the entire exterior by Georges collision in west Seneca… if i sand and prep the car theyll mask it and paint it for 500. Think that just answered my own thread.

Andy @ zeon wouldnt get back to me when I had thousands in cash to spend on my paint job. Id be shocked if he agreed to “bring er’ on down” for a $500 paint job. Then again maybe hes into quick spray down and get the fuck out kind of jobs. My thoughts are all autobody guys are shitheads and for the money you want to spend and lack of quality your willing to accept just paint it yourself. I wish I could refer you to somebody but as far as full paint jobs go Ive been fucked in my ass to the point I can shit without pushing.
Depending on the level of quality you desire, watch George’s. They repaired some shipping damage on my Z and it wasn’t horrible, but I should’ve made an issue of it at the time.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience…I have nothing but 100% positive things to say about Andy and his team. Car was delivered on time…better than expected and under budget. I will be using them exclusively for any paint work that I need done in the future.
