How is the dry traction with the Kumhos? You have any 60’ times for them?

i ran some quality cooper cobra H rated tires on my firebird. 245-50-16 got over 20K out of them. cut a 2.0 60’ with only 245’s no suspension work. so they are decent and crazy milage and i did donuts and burnouts everywhere. and they are like 70 bucs a piece

But what if all their tires are rocks and rated at 360 and you get 10,000 miles out of them. That would be their baseline rating. Then if they came out with a 400 treadwear then you would get 11,111 miles out of them.

I don’t know if you can consider treadwear as linear from a given supplier. Hoosier sells (or at least used to) an autocross tire with a treadwear of 0

eh, its decent. i get some spin. i havent been to the track with them yet tho. ive hit some corners pretty hard with them and ive been pretty impressed. i’ll find out in a month or so how well they do at autocross…i have the Supra712’s by the way

Just to put your mind at ease regarding your alignment, you might want to get the car on a rack and pay particular attention to front toe and rear thrust angle (since it’s a live axle car). Usually when you buy new tires, you can get an alignment fairly inexpensively and sometimes free when the NTB’s, etc. are running a special… Otherwise, you can expect to pay $60-$70 for an alignment at a place like NTB. Believe it or not, I get my best alignment service out of NTB in McMurray, even on the race car.

have the same tires only in 245-50-16

over 40k on the front tires, still decent tread. the rears went out about 25k.
only good in the rain :boink
