not alot of these low production cars make enough money for the company to recoup the engineering and R&D costs spent on making them. the Enzo and Veyron are 2 examples. they cost more to produce when all is said and done then they made off the sales. im sure the cobra R isnt much different.

i think ford lost like 6k on each car they made. i dont remb the exact number.
