300, with some being wrecked on the track here and there
not alot of these low production cars make enough money for the company to recoup the engineering and R&D costs spent on making them. the Enzo and Veyron are 2 examples. they cost more to produce when all is said and done then they made off the sales. im sure the cobra R isnt much different.
gotcha.
Fo sho
LOL
Sorry, I always thought the skidpad was stopping :lol
and your post about the value of '01 Z06’s being low 20’s to mid teens…GREAT, so someone can go out and spend half as much to get that kind of performance rather than breaking the bank wasting $40k+ on some glorified Mustang for the same performance.
Just read the entire article-
ZO6 had a slipping clutch and bad 2nd gear syncro, but yet still beat the Mustang in acceleration tests, and was behind a little on the road course. Put the same tires on each car, and I’d love to see that test again, fixed clutch and tranny of course.
So what you guys are saying is that this Mustang Type R is hella fast?
3xx made, sold for 55-60k, so say 1.7-2.2 million off sales. i bet a whole lot more went into the entire project.
mustangs are siiiick:thumbup
i think ford lost like 6k on each car they made. i dont remb the exact number.
like adam said a lot of the technology went into the 03, my car has the R t56, stronger IRS, and some other things from the R
It paved the way for cool shit, but was rather unimpressive when compared to it’s mass produced, cheaper GM counterpart.
ling long tires
I like your car. It’s nice.
I sold my Mustang.
good lord. i like the SN95 scoops under the 1/4 windows
thanks PJB
I agree. I saw my first Cobra R in person earlier this year… looks like a really cool car, but the Corvettes seem much more “driveable” if you know what I’m saying. I’d rather have a fast car that is comfortable.
got some rug rat racing rimsz too,and the cameo style hood
I got my truck instead. It’s nice.
I like my truck.
the overspray on the windshield is a nice touch as well.
Yes, but I like the rarity of the car, Ive seen 1 in my life, as compared to hundreds of Z06’s, and it will always hold its value. To each his own though
