Oh gawd. Farmer can you just show people a picture of the underside of the car? like on the hoist? too much blah blah blah
I don’t get why anyone on here really cares whether it was brought over as a whole car, or assembled with model glue… With the exception of a select few, no one on here can even afford the damn thing. That’s why we drive 240s.
who is this clown?
fuck, i was hoping to see/make love too this car next spring at bings.
one more…
WOOOO 400 posts!!
Thank you, thank you.
Ah ok, nice to know. That would really suck if they just seized and trashed them all.
Most likely only certain parts were taken off the car frame rails, wiring harnesses, things that technically dont make the car a full car anymore…there iare many flaws in our law system so this is probably another one…
lol wow i love this tread.
well i have nothing against this farmer guy but i dont think anyone answered that how is this car even insured if it’s a 98 skyline and less then 15 years old, i dont think anyone answered this.
Unless this was Gabriele’s r32 converted into a full r34 kit, not much ppl knew about Gabriele doing a full r34 swap from interior to exterior to engine bay.
now Gabriele’s shop’s gone tits up so i dont even know what happened to the car
and if you wondering who im talking about he used to own japaneseimports
^^^ i don’t think this guy even has a clue about the story of this car…
farmer found a loop hole in the system.
nuff said.
if you go to quebec you will see some s15’s and r34’s
there are companies that get these cars from japan in parts, and reassemble them or give it to you to reassemble it. by doing this, the vin# is changed and the car is now technocally considered a KIT CAR, even though youve just reput the same car back together. making it legal
that is MY understanding of how this is legal, dont know any details about the car in specific
You call gabe gabriele? who are you? probably done even know him personally lol.
would love to know the details of this ‘loop hole’. as far as i know kit cars are illegal in ontario correct?
peace
new VIN and KIT car
^According to the Transport Canada links up there, it’s pretty obvious that this is still very much illegal, and was just an oversight on the part of whoever approved the new VIN and kit car status.
maybe i didn’t read it in the OP but i think he said its registered as a 98 skyline. not a kit car.
why is everyone saying its a kit car? did i miss where it says that?
i think he said it was registered as a 2008 Skyline
as per post on the link… and i quote!

Thanks
As per Transport Canada. If the shipment looks like a complete car, they will turn it back and not clear it to enter Canada. IF it looks like parts it may enter… after all that blah blah blah you put the car together and have the car checked to make sure it passes safety measures.
another method is to say that the parts are going on to an older shell of a legal 15+ year old car!
yeah thats what i was trying to say. where did everyone get the idea it was a kit car?
