Which styles did you get? Post up some pictures of them.
I am ordering a pair of Crockett and Jones - Edgware’s tomorrow from the UK. They are helping me size them correctly by having me send in the measurements of my foot. Hopefully they will get back to me soon about what size will fit my foot, but I guess it doesn’t matter too much because they said it would take 2 months to get them… which really blows, but worth it in the end.
The 9EEE Evanston’s are totally usable now as well, i cut an insole to spec and they’ll work but i dont have a belt that goes with them… yes i just typed that and i’m not ashamed of it.
The black oxfords are not my style though, i’m going to give them to my brother
Was going to go to the mall today, cleaned the house and what not instead… So i looked online… found an “old man” type of shoe that looks like something my clients would wear, which is always something I should emulate. (they are 80 and old fashioned in every regard)
I tore a hole in my last pair of “new” shoes last month… i need a cheap replacement for now. (i have NO clue how i tore them, but it looks like I took a utility knife to the side of them)
I like the look of the shoe… you need a better camera for sure!
Those look nice for what they are… I don’t care for the tassels, but do whatever it takes to fit in and make the sale. Allen Edmonds has a bunch of those. I think I am leaning toward a pair of black chelsea boots for my dress/casual shoe. I’ve seen a bunch that I like, but will probably be getting another pair of Crockett and Jones, once I see how the other ones fit. Check out their shoes with the 348 or 238 last, I think it goes the best for both casual and business.
Jordan, I dont like the tassels either (my backup shoe for work has them, they were a gift when I was a sophomore in college… I tore the other pair 2 days before my seminar) Its weird, but I’m having a record month, and I’ve been wearing my most “dated” looking shoe and I haven’t been shaving either (only the neck line)… EVERYTHING I was taught was wrong!
Tassels aside, the gucci style is one that I dont mind so much.
And those chelse ones that you posted are really nice, I’ve just never worn something dressy that had such a high ankle? I do like them
Side note, I dislike wild colors and designs that make a shoe look like a country western boot.

i dont think I’d buy something more “textured” than these.

EDIT 3… Most of the shoe stores near here have TONS of alligator skin style leather… I could never pull that off.
I hear ya about the month you’ve been having… I’ve gone about 6 months before dry cleaning my suits… I’m sure I look like a haggard half homeless man.
But I’d rock those shoes, but a bit more on the darker side of brown, but I’ve never been a fan of the wingtip, so I’ve found some similar variations for my dress shoe. I like ones with medallions on the toe, just not a toe cap.
As for the Chelsea boot, I think it can work well for business dress because nobody will know it’s a boot and they are pretty comfortable and look better than almost all of the slip on loafers that I have seen.
I’ve never seen anything louis Vitton except that gaudy Louis Vitton fabric that dudebro’s cover their headliners in. I thought that that was all LV made, fabric for headliners.
Not sure about the quality of the LV shoes. I personally don’t like anything with a rubber sole, but that is my personal preference and not necessarily an indication of a poor shoe. Although all the well made, hand crafted shoes have the leather soles and part leather heels.
You’ve never seen Louis Vitton hand bags all over the place? Albeit most of them are fake, they look like the real thing.
