We’ve done it at a race, the safety inspectors weren’t too happy but we placed top 10 so it was worth it. you just have to be carefull because the PSI gets very high.
did it all the time with semi truck tires, till i bought a cheeta can. leave the valve core out if you’re going to use starting fluid. now i can inflate anything, mad stretch and poke! bring me your daytons! lol
the dot has a sniffer for ether and other similer chemicals, they will tagyou out of service for that
that was 11 years ago… and i was 17, they didn’t have those fancy toys back then. i always seated beads with the core out, let flames go out, seated beads fully with shop air, drained completely, then reinstalled core and filled to spec.
