i think there probably looking more for the cars for a scene similar to the one in 2 fast 2 furious where they had everyone drive out of the warehouse towards the end of the movie to distract the cops? i dont see them putting locals cars in scenes where damage could happen…plus the insurance they’d need for something like that.
im going to be out in california that week, so if im not busy w/work ill try and swing over and grab some video or pictures.
im kind of interested to see how this movie will turn out. vin’s rumored to be back…or maybe he is officially signed on now. haven’t paid to much attention.

They took a few cars from a 3S shop and destroyed them. I’d never give my car out to them. With their budget, they shouldn’t ask. They can make shells anyhow.
thats Don. I mentioned him. He told me didnt buy the car after the movie, he had it and didnt wana give it up. Basically the cars they use as main cars, they buy from ppl, make a few copies and crash em as needed. all others are just kinda stand ins for crowd scenes and they get free crap like wheels, tires and some money when theyre in the shot. this is going from his words. he mentioned that he inquired about his car being one of the main cars, but after finding out hed have to sell it outright, he didnt want to.
that guy is known for completely lying about that car. He has claimed many times that he is the one that built it when he bought it from cali.
