Well I think for me personally half of the battle is understanding the mechanism so I can defeat it. Basically there have been times when I had a rough day, felt stressed, etc, and just felt like “a nice meal” was something I should treat myself to.
I’m not talking about extreme $hit like eating 2 gallons of Chocolate Chip Cookie dough hiding in a closet, but just using food as an excuse… That’s where the lifestyle change has to happen I think for many of these people…
I’m about 5 weeks into eating healthy and hitting the gym 3-4x a week, playing tennis once a week, so I’m doing OK for now.
End goal is to lose 1/3rd of what you’ve already done, so reading about guys like you, Ned, I can really see the lifestyle change is possible.
