Favorite stretch of road?

HWY 20 from Wilitis to Fort Bragg in California. Best 20 minute drive in my life.

Look it up on Google: Fort Bragg Ca, then follow HWY 20… you’ll see. speed limit is 55, but all the turns are 25-30mph (some up to 150 degrees). Absolutely amazing. Going up and down a mountain.

Yes route 2 is awesome, I had some friends back in college who went to school at MCLA and made the trip out there via Rt 2 regularly.

Kelly Station is fun as hell. Glad to see somebody else knows about it.

no

have you ever done that route???

Ive done the 200 in a weekend thing before but I was thinking my 20k a year (currently 64k and its an '05) on my daily driver was alot. I guess not.

Now that Im driving 100-200+ miles a day during work (delivery truck) I dont have as much desire to drive around as much as I used to.

another good one out in Washington. one of my favorites

I’ve done Kelly station to skyline but haven’t been down Herrick in a long time.

I also like Burtonsville Road, this is the loop I did the other day:

the right at the end of skyline is so nasty

Great thread :thumb

if you get a chance this year vlad give kelley station a shot…youll enjoy it :nod

Some roads way up out in Rotterdam heading kind of towards Amsterdam are quite nice, there is one section that feels like a rollercoaster going downhill on the bike for a good mile if you hit it at speed. I can’t remember any road names but you can easily get lost for hours on end out there with amazing roads and no one else around. Maybe Vlad can step in with some road names as we have hit them together multiple times.

Edit: After checking google maps one of the main roads in that whole drive is Skyline Dr. but there are so many nice roads out there that you can be lost for hours without an issue.

i drive on those roads quite a bit, yes they are fun. :nod

for reallly high speed runs i love just off exit10 on rt9 heading north towards round lake, i know a certain z06 that hit 190mph and still has time to slow down for the bend.

gee i wonder what z06 that is :ssh

The ‘scenic drive’ that we did a month or so ago was some of the best backroads/scenic drives around…

That’s the mid section of route 160 before the intersection of Thayer Rd…about 2 minutes from on of my shops.

There isn’t a road in the Cobleskill/duanesburg/montgomery county that I haven’t conquered. Every weekend for years I would go out that way and drive. I lived in Duanesburg for 95% of my school life off Youngs rd, Scotch Ridge, in the village itself, etc… S.Keley station road is childsplay compared to roads up north(exit 30+). Even Washout, Gower, Johnson rd, etc all pale in comparison. All too cop localized anyway as the state troopers know shit goes down there constantly. You boys need to take some longer trips up north past Ticonderoga + saranac or get up into vermont :nod

Spiresfalls road in HF/Corinth, Mahaffey in Argyle, Rt 40, Rt44, etc…those are some fun “local” roads.

cedar bluff rd heading from stillwater towards saratoga lake… AWESOME road assuming theres little to no gravel kicked up onto the pavement… also verbeck ave going from stillwater towards schaghticoke… so many twisting switchbacks i guarantee most people on here would loop it at least once .

good im glad to see that other people have been on them
