I recently ordered something from woot and had it shipped to my new house in West Seneca. I followed the tracking and saw that it went to the post office and was scheduled to be delivered via my mail person.
Long story short, I was home on Dec. 6th at 2:22 pm when supposedly it was “delivered” to me. Now at this time, I was there at my kitchen table at 2:22 when the tracking changed from in-transit to delivered. I looked out my window and there was no one there, my mail wasn’t even delivered. Soooo, I thought, where’s my package?
I gave it a few days and finally contacted Fedex, they made me contact the Post Office and to my surprise some lady told me by their records it was delivered and it is not their problem.
How do I handle this? Am I out my $40 that I spent on this item?
It’s a super cheap shipping option shitty sellers use. FedEx does the long distance routing and then just drops the package off at the Post Office hub for them to deal with the local delivery portion.
^ This. Contact woot, let them know that their shitty economy shipping lost the package, and demand a refund or re-ship. It’s their responsibility to fight with FedEx and the Post Office.
Well I have dealt with this before. I guess Fedex and UPS are using a new system that ulitizes the post office for smaller items. I haven’t contacted woot because they did ship it but it seems that fedex/post office screwed things up.

I just sent and email to them since I have been calling Fedex and the post office all day long today. Neither of them want to accept responsibilty for it. They should have required a signature for the shipping.
Yeah but it’s still woot’s responsibility. They chose FedEx and USPS to do the job for them and obviously it has not been done. It shouldn’t be your problem to deal with.
Call WOOT. They will file a claim with the shippers and either get you another one out or refund you the money.
Living in the hood I’ve had my fair share of packages taken. UPS will only leave an item if I sign for it in person because of past claims actually.

For a $40 item they usually won’t require a signature unless the shipper demands it.
On the other side of the coin…I had $700 worth of computer memory stolen before because Ingram Micro NEVER requires signature on employee purchase. If you ordered a $3k laptop they would just leave the MF on your porch. How stupid is that? LOL
I’m convinced the Fed-ex driver took my memory. In a separate incident I also had a video card from Ingram “delivered”. It’s pretty easy to see Ingram on the label and know it’s technology shit.
Sucks but def call Woot and get them to correct the issue. They won’t give you a hard time at all…it’s routine to have shit disappear.
i had fed ex drop a set of fog lights dropped off at a house 2 streets away from my house. different street name, same house number.
owner of the house called me when he came home to a weird package, with a hand written note: “hi my name is john and im a driver from fed ex, im pretty sure this is the right house even tho the adress is wrong, please contact me with any problems”
FUCKING MORONS.
ps.this has nothing to do with your dilemma. just sayin
I’ve had stuff from FedEx go to the completely wrong address, too. Had to wait a couple extra days for my neighbor who got the package to actually stop by and put it in my mailbox with a note.
Maybe the USPS is getting pissy about doing FedEx’s job, whlie FedEx gets paid better.
