My sincere apologies on my grammar mistake.
Back on topic though. We’ll agree to disagree here.

I was looking for bikes to flip and saw this one. Perfect example why a NEW anything is a dumb idea for a first rider.
2013 Ninja 300. MSRP $4,999
Cost to repair (and it doesn’t even look that bad right, mild lowside it looks like) $4600. lol it says it has a cd player. :rofl
152 miles they made it. Now they are probably making payments on the remainder of what is owed on the loan vs what the insurance companied paid out and have no bike. 3 months ago a local kid bought a brand new GSXR, $12K and change was financed to get it. 2 months/$400 paid into the loan later its totaled, fair mkt value is around 9K for that bike so he is stuck with about 4K in payments and no bike.
Ilya, look into GAP insurance. It covers the difference between payout vs loan amount still owed. Atleast until you pay off enough to be in the “its a wash” zone if/when it goes down that insurance pays off what the loan has left.
I’m not going back to rye read but I thought he paid in full when he bought it?
I paid for the bike in full and it is fully insured (with up to $4k in accessories also covered and a low deductible). No lien. If it gets wrecked, I get whatever the value of it is.
Also, just hit 1,000 miles (yes, in two weeks) and haven’t had much issues on it or with it other than it vibrating the crap out of me lol. My Infiniti feels like a Rolls Royce or something after I’ve ridden the bike and get in it. But, no problems otherwise with performance, handling, etc. It depends on the rider. I’ve been having fun, but I’ve been smart while doing it.
The bike is basically done up how I like it. Just need an exhaust eventually (either Yoshimura R77 or Akrapovic Slip-On) and maybe a projector retrofit (even with high’s on, after having a projector retrofit on my Maxima and projectors on my Infiniti - I can’t live without the output). After riding it non-stop for two weeks…my earlier comments about maybe going up to a 600 are mute. I honestly don’t see myself selling this bike for a while. Took a nice long ride into the country today (Coeymans, Coxsackie, etc.) and had a freakin blast on it. I haven’t ridden a 600 at great length, but honestly, if you keep this bike above 9K RPM, it has PLENTY of passing power. I love it. The only thing a 600+ will give me is insane speed. That’s it. And maybe will prevent me from getting knocked around as much on the highway with wind blasts (I can feel the bike moving around - not sure if I’m explaining this correctly - in some spots almost like the wheel is lifting).
Here is where I’m at with it (total cost of mods is like $300 - $200 of which was the sliders, spools, etc. from Shogun):
I don’t know anything about motorcycles…
But that looks awesome.!
Thank you. I like to think that my taste is simple yet nice and I mod my toys accordingly. I’m glad someone other than me thinks it came out good!
:tbu
def looks good ilya, nicely done.
were you wearing motorcycle boots in the pic? I have to know, dont lie.
Hahah yes I believe I was :lol.
Bike looks great so far!
Thanks guys.
You’re gonna get blown around on pretty much anything man. Maybe not a big cruiser but even my tl1000 gets moved on the highway. Looks good. Glad to know you had your boots on.
bike is gorgeous.
Even my buddies who were originally laughing at the sight of it approve.
Thanks folks! :tbu
Yeah my buddy with the CBR600RR said the same thing when I explained what I was experiencing (felt like the front tire was going in the air on some big gusts :lol).
So, as some of you know, I like to plan way ahead if possible. Since I plan to keep this bike for a while, I’m starting to think of what I want to do next (fatter tires (120/150 or 160), exhaust and projector headlights are likely over winter mods)…and I’m thinking of powder coating the wheels and getting some better levers done as well (not my stock ones) to match.
Here are the variations I’m considering. Any more that you guys think would look good but also stay somewhat ‘neutral’ (my helmet is blue/white and my jacket is black - don’t really intend to go away from that)?
My bike:
White/White:
White/Blue:
White/Gold:
The last option is gunmetal or silver wheels.
Gold.
Yeah I’m leaning towards gold myself, and white is the second choice. Blue, the more I look at it, the less I like it.
Gold.
