Some pretty convincing pictures there
That’s a still from a video. Wonder how long before the video is out.
Wow so a group of militants pissed off at their dictator was able to capture him faster than the US forces captured Saddam in Iraq.
whole fuck ton cheaper than spending billions crying about being diplomatic… Voilence: Get’s shit done.
Spelled correctly I think this might be sig worthy.
Guilty as charged, I’m not proud.
About 20 mins
Who cares? Just another conflict we shouldn’t have been involved in.
Hah yep.
Do you really think we were going to avoid this conflict?
Oil reserves in Libya are the largest in Africa and the ninth largest in the world with 41.5 billion barrels (6.60×109 m3) as of 2007.
Like I said on FB, who’s America’s next “boogeyman” now?
Yeah but very little of our oil comes from Libya. I guess the vast majority of it goes to Europe.
You mean the militants that got massive help from the UN? and wouldn’t do anything till someone else did extensive air strikes? lol
I thought that was slavery?
Actually that should say. Slavery It didn’t build the pyramids.
:picard:
Pan Am 103 ring a bell?
My only question now is does the international community step up and do the right thing, or does this become a repeat of Charlie Wilson’s War?
We just sent 100 “combat-ready” american lives into the heart of Africa to help deal with a war lord in some 10 year old clan bullshit.
I don’t know why everyone thinks Gadhafi is such a bad guy. He had pretty good relations with the US and his family did a ton for Africa.
Knowing people from Africa, he helped people get education and did a lot of good for the area. I hope the new leader f’s them all.
Provided modern housing for much of the population (his own mother was deliberately put at the bottom of the list for new housing so as to prove that his regime intended to help all Libyans).
Running water supplies for many Libyan people, towns, cities, and farms…
Developed the Libyan oil industry,to maximize government income to pay for infrastructure projects - whose regime do you think built all the hospitals and highways in today’s Libya?
Put Libya on the world stage as a nation.
Gaddafi’s no saint, and has been a brutal dictator for over 40 years, but much of the country’s oil revenue during his rule was spent on modernizing, and thus improving, the country as a whole.
I guess there’s still something in the human spirit that wants liberty?
Why people think he is a bad guy?
