Finger Lakes Region Solo Event #7

Next Sunday we’ll be at Xerox in Webster. The building 200 parking lot is absolutely huge… almost twice the size of the MCC lot. It’s at the corner of Caracus Dr. and Resende Rd.

Please pre-register if you plan to attend. http://soloreg.flr-scca.com/solo2/login.php

Hope to see you there.

I suppose I should show up

it’s generally recomended that the event chair(wo)man be present at the event

Hopefully we can get a course like we used to have at Valeo. I’ve missed that place this year.

The Xerox lot is bigger than Valeo.*

And it doesn’t look like the surface of the moon.

*note: I have never even been to Valeo, and my perceptions are based on google maps

LOL seriously!

Should be there. Better not rain, or I’m blaming you Marnie

you can blame me… that seems to be the trend

I’d be really happy to see a course like these on Sunday… assuming the site is big enough

That’s actually a really good idea to use those courses if there’s a site to accommodate it.

Keith (old British guy  has come up with the course design for sunday. he’s no Roger Johnson but i’ve been happy with courses he’s done in the past.

this will be a bit of a learing experience for us. i think we’ve taken most of the issues into consideration and will be prepared and be able to put on a good event. figuring out exactly how much paddock space to block off, keeping pedestrian and/or car traffic clear of the course, and other little things like that are just some of the small challanges that come with racing at a new site for the first time. Yes the region has done events at the site way back in the stone age or something, but most of the people involved then are either dead, or just not involved anymore.

if something seems a little unorganized or funky, just please be patient and know that we’ll do the best we can to make sure that everything goes smoothly and that everyone has a good, and safe, time
