isn’t that private property though…they can’t do anything to him not even a ticket unless they had permision by the owner

It’s a criminal offense. Doesn’t matter where you are it’s illegal to have an open bottle of alcohol in a vehicle. But it was a stupid ticket and I would take it to court.
