Hey my father inlaw just picked up a 95 firebird with a v6 in it. He wants to sell it to me for next to nothing (he loves buying and selling). How hard is it to drop a v8 in it? Is it worth it time and money wise? I would build it for strictly a track car for my dad and I. Any info would be great.
At least 2k for labor and everything else is extra.
Depends a lot on what type of V8 you want and what type of tranny you want.

ehh pat did his v6 to v8 dirt cheap if you have automotive knowledge i am sure you can do it
yeah it’s not overly complicated by any means. The physical swapping isn’t bad at all. you would have to repin some connectors for everything to function properly dash wise.
If you’re swapping in an el tee juan, it’ll be pretty cheap & easy, parts wise.
Minus whale go el es juan tho.
But in either case, don’t be afraid of motor swaps.

Yup; if you have someone else do it. Otherwise, it’s all how much you want to spend on parts.
