The age disparity, at least intellectually, on this board becomes very clear, very quickly on threads like this… And it’s kind of a sad ratio really.
A waste of money it would be, only if the officer was unsuccessful in issuing a ticket and or collecting funds from the accused. The cop did his job. He did more than his job, he gave the guy a break in hopes that the same respect is reciprocated the next time he’s thinking about doing something stupid. I don’t see how that cop could have handled the situation any better really. Good cops, not so good cops, it all evens out.
