I went today, didnt feel like drivin far for about 4 hours of fishing so i went down bridgeville under the bridge of rt 50 near krispy cream,
caught 3 carp, 1 smallmouth, and a few bluegill within the 1st hour. after that is was alot of bites and just 1 more carp. nothing like the carp down the river but about 8 lb carp
i offroaded the neon down the hill to get there lol
yeah doughballs are great for carp, i was fishing one time with a few other guys and my buddy was using doughballs, he likes carp he caught one at least 30 pounds about 40 inches long fought like hell on 10lb test
While wating for my car to dry I went up to our pond…didn’t catch anything but I did see a bunch of bluegill, 2 ducks, 3 common carp, 2 mirror carp, and the koi I caught last year,…
I haven’t had time in the past year. definitely going Saturday on Bens Creek near Johnstown. Great trout stream. Going for steelhead in Erie at some point. Never went for steelhead before.
Been tossing around the idea of getting a Chesapeake charter for Bluefish or Trout. Would anyone be up for it? It’s so hard to get people to give a definite yes.
The best is using hot dogs and an ultralight for carp. Wear a leather glove and handline them half of the time.
when im down the river in mon city i catch sheephead all the time ( maybe steelhead too, not sure)
i’ve heard corn work GREAT, never tried it before with carp, corn just seems too light to use in the current even with a slipper weight
I went this morning down the mon, caught about 6 or 7, 1 smallmouth and the rest were white bass and small hybrid stripers. Here is the best one, maybe 12 inches if im lucky
