Flying RC - Who has access to a gym

Not sure who here is into RC planes/helicopters/trucks/etc. Just looking to see if anyone has access to a gym, large indoor field…etc.

Recently I and a few friends have been flying our micro RC planes (Parkzone ultra micro P-51) and a Blade 120sr. My friends have anything from a micro Champ, 120 sr, Blade MSRx, Ultra Micro Spitfire, and a couple others.

Just looking for a place to fly indoors due to lighting and weather.

If anyone is into this or has a place to fly, lets show some interest.

I don’t know how large of a venue you are looking for… but you probably could rent out a roller rink (Orchard Park, DJ Spinners to name a few).

The higher the ceiling the better. Obviously the longer/wider as well.

:biglol:maybe rent out HSBC arena

That just gave me an idea. A remote could be concealed and operated fairly easily. Could have a whole lot of fun with a RC helicopter at a game, while everyone sees it and is wondering wtf is going on.

Too bad they do a full pat down prior to letting anyone in the game

Seriously? They’ve really upped security since the last game I’ve been to.

Nah, you could easily squeak in an RC plane or coptor, depending on the size… but i’m not 12.

Every game I went to, you had to open your coat and they either patted you down or used a device.

Please make sure all toys are registered.

you could probably pretend to go outside and smoke and have someone give you the shit outside and walk it back in

No more smoking at the games. No re-entry whatsoever under any circumstances.

There is a group that rents out an Air Hanger every year and they have a indoor competition in December/January. I know I have seen postings in the Gusto/Penny Saver or some WNY Paper. Maybe call a Hobby Shop and ask…?

Epic center in Clarence is pretty big and wide open

That’s what HE said!!! No really, that is what HE said…

TWSS

Should ask airhead, he knows all about these things!

Let us know where/when you figure out. If it’s reasonable. I’d take my son to watch you guys crash your shit.

Golf dome?

I’m easily amused, don’t judge me!

Talk to Jason over at Field’s Hobby. A bunch of them are into 3D flyers so I’m sure they know somewhere to fly indoors.
