you can buy those scale planes with turbine, ducted fan motors everywhere. Not handbuilt like this one, but the price sounds correct, hell those turbine motors are a fortune alone.
do you fly??.. im looking to get into it but only want to drop a few 100
Not currently.
I did when I was a kid.
I’d love to get back into it sometime, but I don’t have time for my current hobbies as it is.
i used to, check out towerhobbies.com
should be able to get into a trainer for 300 or so. PT40-PT60 are one of the best trainers out there, and towerhobbies sells all in one kits, which include everything you need to fly. Radio, servos, fuel line, etc…
I know the article is 8 pages long, but its worth the read for the most part.
This is thing is almost a 100% accurate reproduction as far as control systems, chassis design, flight charactoristics (which is hard for the A10 since it is super manuverable @ low altitude low speed flight).
ohh yeah, that plane no doubt kicks ass. Yeah no kit is going to be this accurate.
i have done the builds but never put a motor in… and now that i have a small level yard i was thinking about it over the weekend
u need some room, you cant really fly a good trainer in a yard as they are pretty big.
Sure you can get a cheapo rc plane for 40 bucks that u can fly in the yard, im not sure what you were looking for,
yea if you wanna decent flyer you’re going to need a large clearing, park, etc. even entry level trainers will do upwards of 50mph groundspd, imagine how quick you’d run out of line of sight in a back yard
really just looking for something gas… i can build the plane for 35 bucks…so really just motor and remote. i have about 9 acres that is level
35 bucks???
what plane can u get for 35 bucks
thats dirt cheap, even the trainers are 90-110, the kits, not even prebuilt.
well yea 35 bucks for the plan and balsa wood… would get me a plane … or can i not do that … i really dont know … i thought you could just take a balsa plane and put the motor in it
that thing needs an airsoft 50 cal on it. do flybys on the neighbors cat.
9 acres should be plenty so long as you have a line of sight.
if you just need a motor & RC, pick up a big nitro motor from a car setup… assuming your fusealge is light enough / has enough lift.
:gotme:
oh. :gtfo:
its got a gattling gun that rotates, but no ammo.
its got fiberglass bombs that drop too.
then u need fuel line, servos, radio, linkage, wheels, fuel, prop, covering, heat gun, glue, epoxy, sandpaper, etc…
by the time your done it would be cheaper to pick up a trainer plane and build it.
