Follow up on my cylinder 5 Misfire...

Really :banana

I think the waterpump is slightly different but interchangable and there is a small difference in the actual block casting. Like some extra ribbing for added strength. The big one is the heads

better oil pump as well on the ls6

Cool man! That is good news.

But its the same as 01+ anyway and it retrofits all LS1-6. You cant buy a new LS1 oil pump. they only stock LS6 style

well guys…northstar just called me

first thing he said was “how does a brand new long block sound”…im like hmm pretty good…hes like great. Its on its way. We talked for a while and dodge world went as far as calling the previous owner of my car to find out what he did to it etc…basically they tried everything possible to void the warranty. Northstar called them and basically said look, you owe this kid a motor no matter what, what the hells going on…so The new long block will be here friday and I will have the car back monday/tuesday at the latest.

good to hear about the longblock, but sounds like dodge world are a bunch of scumbags

Sounds like you’re gonna make out okay.

claps

Good for you.

cars finally done…going to pick it up later this afternoon or sometime tomarrow. Their waiting for the check from dodge world before they give me the car??

Psh. I would be like “uhh… that’s your guys thing. Gimme my car back.” :tong

srsly its not like you owe them money :lol glad to hear your gettin it back today and its all fixed

most warrenty companies require the customer to sign something before the car is picked up so they can get payment on the work they did.

Fresh LS1 = a big ;D

no no…not fresh…

Brand new LS1 :banana

0 Miles

good stuff…now mod that pig

Where is the old LS1?

Now brand new motors need to be broken in. Don’t go blowing it up by hammering on it right away. :nono

Nice to hear everything is all good and you’re getting it back :banana :thumb

F*ck that… break it in hard and get those rings to seat good… but not too hard

I have always had good luck breaking in everything the way im gonna ride/drive it…thats what I will be doing.

The old LS1 gets sent back to GM for a core charge.

my new engine saw ohh 50-100 miles before i hammered on it. same with my clutch. 15k later, still strong.
