For Seamus(and those who dont just go straight and only upshift)

Boring (YAAAWN)
Because going 1-2-3-4-5 with gears is just that. 10 seconds is not long enough for proper fun. If anything, you LENGTHEN the time ur behind the wheel, not shorten it. Plus you guys are always saying that auto trannies are for pussies. Well? Heres where you gotta have that stick shift. You don’t need to spend 5,000 dollars on a turbo and 30,000 on an engine. A low HP car will work. This is where real driving skill is shown. You don’t just mash it.

Here’s where the fun begins

This is called Touge. Say it with me “toe-geh”, NOT “toozh”. You can dorifto that as well. The view is gorgeous as well.

:+1

looks like so much fun…that’s Japan Right???

Posers. ::slight_smile:

Actual track > your cute Sunday drive through the mountains.

Name this turn and win a prize.

I used my 6 speed well last year. There are many winding roads up to and around my parents camp and I heel toe/ rev match the whole way… I can down shift almost as good as I upshift. F-body pedals are not very heel-toe friendly but I will fix that when I go 6 speed again

Those are some crazy roads tho… That must be in yer-rope-uh or something

Yes it is. That road looks crazy. It’s kooler than a track. Youve got the tire things on the track to smash into and youre not gonna go rolling of a mountain and they dont lean the banks for you. You gotta do it right, or its yer ass! LOL

Give me a hint… is the track in Gran Turismo?

Nope, but there’s a Forza 1 track thats modeled after it.

I want the name of the actual turn.

You pretty much have until Boxersix sees this and posts.

Im screwed… I dont have X-Box ::slight_smile: lol

looks like fun

I dunno, mang. This looks pretty nice for a sunday drive. Even you, biker nuts would be all about this one

Tell me you wouldnt wana take out the M3 on that, Jesse. That’ll test our the suspension and brakes the proper way. Theres no need to go a bazillion miles per hour, either.
Thats srs bzns right there, guys.
Drifting that one would be fun, but i prefer grip racing more.

ummmmm is the track from froza Alpine Ring???

and hell yes that looks like fun!!! what is the road they used in Initial D???

^^^ That is why we have differing points of view on this.

I think that’s it actually.

dont get me wrong, a few straight aways is fun, but its just that. you sorta mash it and just kinda hold it straight. Theres a million ways you can take those turns, but theres only one or two right ways to do it. In a straight line, you do just that, go straight. Though track racing looks fun. Ive never been to one, but it really looks like a blast.

yeah i can’t fuckin remeber what track that is…for some reason i wanna say it is like turn 4 or 5 but i know i am prolly wrong…

Its not so easy to “hold it strait” when your car just wants to spin like a top… just a little hair raising.
My Trans Am hardly ever sees full throttle in a strait line but I do go thru the twisties well over posted speeds often. I like turns and such and wish I had more time and money to do some laps at Lime Rock… maybe someday

With gas prices its more fun for less money to just attack some twisty roads… watch out for wood chucks tho lol

I think the turn actually has a name like the “Corkscrew” at Leguna Seca

more power than traction? have you tried to dorifto that car? you do well with that. i prefer the car going straight if i want it to and not fishtailing on a dry paved road, but its just me :slight_smile:

Is that Tremblant?

*only guessing based on the trees and the color of the pavement looks similar to other pics youve shown me of tremblant…

I prefer sideways… much more interesting lol
