k i recently bought a set of springs for my car 1.8 inch drop… put them in and the front sits noticably higher then the back!! will they settle in more or what… i got all new shocks toikco blues… any info why or how i can make it sit level please tlel me
Get coilovers, that is a common problem with all springs,
before you jump to conclusions, measure from the ground to the top of the wheel arch, the front wheel wells are taller so the tires can turn…
exactly, if you want to match the front and rear then use the stock height for the rears hehe…
just an idea
depending on what the spring rate of your new springs is, thats possibly not a very good idea.
what kind of springs are they?
an equally bad idea, maybe cut the fronts a bit?
mid way option, coilover sleeves they will give you some adjustibility, but keep the squishy comfortable ride, might get a few squeeks and creeks tho. bit it’ll do the trick without busting the banks.
These days springs dont sag unless they are cheaply made. Maybe you installed them upside down? What brand are they?
Coils do have to settle too … so it may come down a bit yet.
Make sure they’re sitting properly in the perches too. If the spring isn’t in the groove, it will sit up high.
As for swapping the stock rears back in for a rake …
What kind of springs are they? 99% of “lowering springs” are just that. They make the car lower, but retain essentially stock spring rates.
Check out this link and see if you can find your springs.
It likely won’t really make much of a difference in performance.

there cm springs… ya there sitting in there properly and what not im thinking maybe i should cut them a bit? any suggestions on that i did the front ones before the back and while the fronts were on and stock ones were still on the back the back was way to squishy… anyway let me know what u guys think about cuttin them and what that will do to my spring rates
yes i have that problem too a little bit, before i had stock springs on the back that were cut (ewk, previous owner had that) and it was BAD the rear end would roll like a slut and the front would understeer, as far as i know the reason the front is a bit higher is becuase there is mroe weight there, hence more up and down play, therefore it needs clearance, and the wheels have to turn too, if u cut your front springs lower you will experience greater understeer becuase the flexibility of the front suspension allows the car to grip better during extreme corner by loading the springs, if you have nothing to load, the tires will take the pressure and understeer, getting bigger wheels and tires helps a bit
